A Case of Malignant Lyinphoina Presenting Manifestation of Aplastic Anemia

Abstract

|
It has been suggested that the humoral or cell-mediated immune mechanisnls can play
a role in the suppression of hematopoietic stem cells. Also, a variety of stages of
hematopoietic cell differentiation can be recognized as targets of immune inhibition and
such damage results in diverse hematologic manifestations.
Few reports have been observed in the literature which malignant Iymphoma was
initially presented with aplastic anemia.
We experienced a 44 year-old female patient with malignant Iymphoma, diffuse
histiocytic type, CS ⅢA, which showed pancytopenia, hypocellular marrow,
and Polyclonal gammaglobulinemia of IgG type without any inciting events. Bone
marrow failure improved by chemotherapy with decrease of previously elevated serum
IgG.
To our knowlege, it might be the first case of malignant Iymphoma presenting
manifestation of aplastic anemia in Korea.
